Kangaroo

If you think about it, there are some amazing and intriguing animals sharing this planet with us.

The Kangaroo is one such animal. With a face that is almost deer like, a strong tail that acts as a third leg, a pouch for a joey, and hops in high speed it is no wonder that the kangaroo have captured the hearts of many.

So here’s one dedicated to the Kangaroo and I hope you’ll enjoy the painting process.

Koala

Reminiscing the short trip to Australia many years ago, the cute koala came to mind. That cute little creature sitting quietly on the Eucalyptus tree branch.

Little Penguins

A number of years ago, I had the opportunity to visit Philip Island (Victoria, Australia), the home to one of the larger colonies of Little Penguin also known as the Eudyptula minor. The evening penguin parade is a sight to behold. This happens in the evening when these little tiny flightless birds return from the waters and pack the beach to the brim.

The Little Penguins are said to be good parents often sharing incubating and chick raising duties. I find that quite endearing.

Polar Bears

Like everyone else, I have time to contemplate more than usual during this pandemic. Sometimes I just let my mind wander. My thoughts brought me to the topic of global warming and how it affects the animals around the world.

That’s the inspiration behind this week’s painting – A Polar Bear and her cub struggling to stay afloat on top of the melting iceberg.
